Job Description

Title: Controller
Location: Miami 

Objective:
Handle all accounting and finance from entering invoices to building business plans and providing with strategic analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

• Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoice processing
• General Ledger reconciliations, enter inventory into QuickBooks
• Submit monthly sales tax
• Create and monitor budgets with Management
• Fixed Asset Management / Record depreciation
• Inventory management
• Health Insurance management
• Reconcile daily cash drawers
• New Hire paperwork, benefits, maintain files
• Maintain employee purchase accounts
• Provide on demand in depth analysis
• Participate in building Business Plans and forecast.

Requirements:

• BS Accounting minimum
• 4-10 years of hands on Accounting / Full charge Bookkeeper experience
• Very strong accounting skills. Must understand deferred revenue and deferred expense recognition and how to post and manage inventory and COGS in a retail environment.
• Strong Excel skills: Should be able to create financial statements and have a working knowledge of advanced Excel techniques
• Experience using QuickBooks
• Strongly prefer someone with retail and/or restaurant experience. Ideal candidate will be familiar with procedures for daily cash drawer reconciliation and for monthly bank statement reconciliation as well as EFT and credit card drafts.

Compensation:

• Around $70k annual base salary depending on experience

Job Description

Title: Accounting Director          

Location: Miami, FL

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Positions supervised: 8 to 10 Accountants and Accounting Clerks

Objective:

The job covers the whole scope of accounting activities in a much diversified company (service, engineering, manufacturing, program management and distribution) inside an international Group. This is a very evaluative job. The CFO believes there are a lot of areas of improvement in the monitoring of the company’s performance and improvement plans.

Main Responsibilities:

·         General Ledger review for Journal Entries correctness

·         Preparation of required documents to assist auditors at mid-year and year ending statements

·         Responsible for monthly and year-end financial statements

·         Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of all required reports

·         Responsible for a general review of accounts

·         Management of teams in A/P, A/R, fixed assets and banking

·         Follow-up of inventories evolutions

·         Computation of reserves and accruals as needed

·         Intercompany reconciliation with other Group companies

·         Responsible for tax returns

·         Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

·         Certified Public Accountant degree (CPA)

·         Knowledge of SAP, JD Edwards or similar system

·         Excellent MS Office skills, Excel in particular (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas).

·         Ability to define and implement accounting procedures consistent with US standards, shareholder requirements and internal control rules 

·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and vendors.

·         Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports, professional journals, technical procedures.

·         Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

·         5 years previous experience in Accounting at a Management level

·         Background from any B-to-B industry (No banking, no Insurance)

·         Willingness to integrate a multicultural team in a very motivated environment.

·         Willingness to work in an industrial environment.

·         Pro-activity, initiative, organization,

·         Ability to communicate with engineering, production and sales personnel

·         English (Spoken and written), Spanish (Spoken is a minimum), French (Spoken and/or written appreciated)

·         Up-to-date US work permit (Citizenship, Green Card or H1B only)

Compensation:

·         Base salary between $75k and $90k depending on experience

·         Bonus around 10%

·         Full benefits package
