Our Client

Our client is a Gourmet Food Provider for Cruiseships and High-End retail chains

Objective

The Director os Sales for Cruise and Retail Key Accounts will be in charge of developping an already established repeat business within those channels.

Ideal Profile

The ideal profile must have strong existing relationships and proven track record building sales of a premium distribution company. Must have knowledge of key Cruise Line buyers, Corporate Chefs and culinary Directors, experience selling directly and through brokers, experience managing brokers relationships and responsibility for forecasting, budgeting and expense controls.

Job Description

  • Research and analyze market conditions in the Cruise line industry to develop distribution of delicatessen food products including gourmet grocery and specialty cheeses
  • Maintain and grow existing business and developing new accounts and distribution channels nationally and internationally
  • Manage 2 sales assistant in charge of the customer service of the department. Maintain effective systems of internal controls and compensation

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years experience at a management position in the food industry
  • Have strong existing relationships and proven track record building sales of a premium distribution company
  • Must have knowledge of key Cruise Line buyers, Corporate Chefs and culinary Directors, experience selling directly and through brokers, experience managing brokers relationships and responsibility for forecasting, budgeting and expense controls
  • Must understand the food service industry, bidding processes,
  • Must have the ability to negotiate with customer’s condition of the contracts
  • Must be able to assess risk and profitability of operation
  • Must be able to plan and develop new sales prorgam based on observations and interactions with prospects, clients and customer service
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate at every level of management
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Very strong knowledge of Excel (Pivot Table, Vlookup…)
