Our client for this position is the Americas Travel Retail and Latin America local markets office of a very well know luxury goods group

Objective

The Regional Merchandising Manager is in charge of guaranteeing the merchandising strategy for the region is properly implemented in each of the Travel Retail markets.

Ideal Profile

The ideal profile for this Regional Merchandising Manager is a dynamic professional with background in merchandising and design and knowledge of AutoCAD and Photoshop. Travelling ability of 30%.

Job Description

    CONCEPTION OF PROJECTS

  • Inform all departments of new projects on the region
  • Produce technical drawings and elevations for personalized projects
  • Advise Directors and Managers in the negotiations of new space in the point of sales
  • Design Point of Sales Merchandising materials for large promotions in accordance with Marketing and Merchandising guidelines
  • PRODUCTION

  • Follow up abd control the fabrication with suppliers (pictures, shop floor plan…)
  • Organize and ensure the installations with the different teams (Commercial, clients, suppliers, airports)
  • Participate in the major installations, guarantee thei quality and take corrective measures if necessary
  • PERMANENT POS MATERIALS

  • Visit the markets and ensure the Travel Retail Market specificities are respected as well as the generic Brand guidelines
  • Ensure the update of the POS database
  • Ensure the forecasts of the POS Material and its installation
  • BUDGET

  • Ensure the respect of the global merchandising budget in coordination with the purchasing team
  • MANAGEMENT

  • Motivate Marketing Coordinators, Area Sales Managers and Account Executives to execute Merchandising guidelines
  • KEY FIGURES

  • Budget: 1 Million USD for personalized counters, repairs, maintenance & counter improvements
  • Responsible for over 500 point of sales in 40 different countries
  • About 30 new projects each year

Requirements

  • Excellent communications and negotiations skills
  • Stong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, PhotoShop, Corel, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • College degree in Architecture, Engineering or Design
  • 5 years experience in similar position with direct responsibility for designing furniture
  • Up-to-date work authorization (US Citizenship, Green Card, renewable H1B visa…)
  • Appreciated previous experience: Bulgari, Cartier, Christian Dior, Clarins, Clinique, Cosmetics of France, Coty, Elizabeth Arden, Essence Corp, Estee Lauder, Givenchy, Guerlain, Kenzo, Kiehl’s, L’Oreal, LVMH, MAC Cosmetics, Occitane, P&G, Parbel, Procter & Gamble, Roger & Gallet, YSL Beaute
  • Appreciated previous titles: Merchandiser, Merchandising Manager, Interior Designer, Furniture Designer, Architect

Compensation

  • Base salary from $55k to $60k depending on experience
  • Bonus and benefits
