Our client for this position is a world leader in the Wine and Spirits industry with a small office in Miami dedicated to Latin America.

Objective

The Controller is in charge of supervising the accounting and financial analysis duties for the office.

Job Description

• Provide all the necessary analytic information to the Commercial Department in order to give them the proper support for their negotiations to improve commercial terms.
• Support the General Management providing all the necessary information to optimize the decision making process
• Careful control & search for constant optimization of the expenditures at the Regional Level
• Analysis of profitability by customer, by door, commercial action and lines in accordance with brand management needs in order to optimize the allocation of investments
• Analyze return on investments in general to assure the resources are correctly invested
• Ensure and enforce the respect of rules and procedures of the Group
• Improve and follow up of procedures and internal control in the Regional office
• General Ledger review for Journal Entries correctness
• Preparation of required documents to assist auditors at mid-year and year ending statements
• Responsible for monthly and year-end financial statements
• Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of all required reports
• Responsible for a general review of accounts
• Responsible for all General Office Management and Control for the Miami Office

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration with Finance experience
• Appreciated previous positions: Financial Analyst, Controller or Finance manager
• Appreciated previous industry experience: Wine & Spirits, Luxury Goods, Consumer Goods, Food and Beverage, Travel Retail, Consumer Electronics, Fragrances, Cosmetics, Watch & Jewelry
• 5 to 7 years Financial Management experience
• Fluent in English and Spanish (French would be a strong plus)
• Up-to-date work authorization (US Citizenship, Green Card, renewable H1B visa…)

Compensation

• $80k to $95k base salary
• Full benefits Package
