Our client for this position is a European start-up company launching a very ambitious retail project in luxury fashion and high end restaurant.

Job Description

Title: Controller
Location: Miami 

Objective:
Handle all accounting and finance from entering invoices to building business plans and providing with strategic analysis.

Ideal Profile:
Accounting professional with business mindset, retail experience and willingness to work in a very challenging but promising start-up environment. Go getter needed !!

Main Responsibilities:

• Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoice processing
• General Ledger reconciliations, enter inventory into QuickBooks
• Submit monthly sales tax
• Create and monitor budgets with Management
• Fixed Asset Management / Record depreciation
• Inventory management
• Health Insurance management
• Reconcile daily cash drawers
• New Hire paperwork, benefits, maintain files
• Maintain employee purchase accounts
• Provide on demand in depth analysis
• Participate in building Business Plans and forecast.

Requirements:

• BS Accounting minimum
• 4-10 years of hands on Accounting / Full charge Bookkeeper experience
• Very strong accounting skills. Must understand deferred revenue and deferred expense recognition and how to post and manage inventory and COGS in a retail environment.
• Strong Excel skills: Should be able to create financial statements and have a working knowledge of advanced Excel techniques
• Experience using QuickBooks
• Strongly prefer someone with retail and/or restaurant experience. Ideal candidate will be familiar with procedures for daily cash drawer reconciliation and for monthly bank statement reconciliation as well as EFT and credit card drafts.

Compensation:

• Around $70k annual base salary depending on experience
• Full benefits package
