Our client for this position is a worldwide leader in the Fragrances and Cosmetics industry. This opening is for their office dedicated to Latin American and Travel Retail.

 

 

Job Description

 

Title: Travel Retail Director – Americas

 

Location: Miami, FL 

Reporting to: VP of Worldwide Travel Retail

 

Territory: North, Central and South America + The Caribbean 

Positions supervised: Staff of Area Managers, Marketing Manager, Controller, Assistant…

 

Objective:

Responsible of the development of all Americas Travel Retail accounts in accordance with the Travel Retail strategy of the Group.

 

Main Responsibilities:

·         Manage the Miami Staff on a daily basis

·         Keep regular contact with the field staff

·         Have a constant contact with the Travel Retail Headquarters in Europe

·         Negotiate terms and conditions with Duty Free Operators

·         Elaborate a pricing strategy for each of the accounts

·         Build relationships with buyers and deal directly with the key accounts

·         Ensure point of sales and merchandising are properly implemented by operators and in line with Corporate guidelines

·         Implement main actions dedicated to improve the sell-through based on Area Sales Managers’ analysis

·         Elaborate, adapt and validate the marketing Calendar for the territory

·         Supervise the implementation of the calendar with support of the Marketing Manager

·         Follow trends and competition

·         Manage the office P&L and report monthly to HQ (revenues as well as operation expenses)

·         Manage any exceptional financial issue regarding Accounts and third parties

 

 

Requirements:

·         Bachelor Degree minimum, MBA preferred

·         10 years previous experience in the Fragrance, Cosmetics or luxury goods industries in general (Travel Retail and/or Local Markets)

·         Fully proficient in English, Spanish and French

·         Very open to travel

·         Strong ability in Sales, Finance and Marketing

·         Proficient with MS Office

·         Familiar with multicultural and international environment

·         UP-TO-DATE US work authorization (US Citizenship, Green Card, H1B with more than 3 years possible renewal)

 

Compensation:

·         Base salary + bonus to be negotiated and depending on experience.
