Our client for this position is a well know luxury goods company dedicated to Latin America, The Caribbean and the Travel Retail Industries. 

 

Job Description

 

Title:  Travel Retail Marketing Manager

 

Location: Miami, FL

 

Reporting to: Marketing Director

 

Objective:

 

Interface with the European Headquarters to maintain the timely flow of information regarding new Travel Retail (TR) developments, launches and promotional activities.

Coordinate and implement marketing projects with responsibilities that include forecasting and ordering, merchandising, promotional activities coordination, database management, special events and communication. Some travel required.

 

FORECASTING and ORDERING

·    Forecast and order marketing materials as needed.

·    Coordinate and follow up the shipment from Europe of Travel Retail specific sets and promotional items as scheduled.

·    Maintain the Area Managers and assistants informed of the availability of new TR items.

·    Communicate new launches and complete the allocation for TR clients.

 

MERCHANDISING

·    Follow up Freeport stock of open sales elements and forecast and order from Europe as needed.

·    Prepare TR planograms as needed.

·    Visit Points Of Sale (POS) to provide Merchandising support.

·    Communicate Merchandising guidelines.

 

PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES

·    Collaborate with the Area Managers in the implementation of specific promotional activities in their region.

·    Coordinate the preparation and assembly of Travel Retail promotions (GWPs). 

·    Develop collateral material for Travel Retail-specific promotions (SPPs and HPPs) and coordinate their shipment.

·    Follow up the progress and results of TR promotions in the region.

·    Inform Europe about the promotional activities implemented in the region, including photos.

·    Develop material for important launches in advance and find cost-effective solution to produce them. 

 

REPORTING and DATA MANAGEMENT

·    Write quarterly Travel Retail report.

·    Generate pricing of Travel Retail specific items.

·    Create and maintain Travel Retail per client valorized allocation for each TR launch and activity.

·    Coordinate the update of TR distribution (doors).

·    Maintain a database of merchandising elements in TR POS.

·    Create and maintain a database of Travel Retail POS pictures.

 

SPECIAL EVENTS

·    Attend yearly Travel Retail meeting and present all the information to the Miami team. 

·    Prepare presentations for clients and the press (IAADFS, BA seminar, etc).

·    Help coordinate the annual Travel Retail BA seminars.

 

COMMUNICATION/ BRAND AWARENESS

·    Make necessary adjustments to Europe TR marketing books and print.

·    Process and follow up visuals and transparency requests for Travel Retail clients and process corresponding payment forms.

·    Obtain information from relevant local markets:  US, Canada, Mexico, Asia, Europe regarding best sellers, pricing, results of novelties, etc.

·    Send press kits and brand information to Travel Retail media.

·    Provide artwork for TR specific print advertising.

·    Find relevant articles in WWD, Travel Insider, and POS brochure to keep a press database.

 

Requirements

·    Bachelor Degree

·    5 years in the Luxury or Consumer Goods industries

·    Bilingual English and Spanish (French and/or Portuguese a plus).

·    Proficient with MS Office, STRONG SKILLS WITH EXCEL !!

·    Familiar with multicultural and international environment

·    UP-TO-DATE US work authorization (US Citizenship, Green Card, H1B Visa,…)

 

Compensation

·    $50k+ annual base gross salary depending on experience

·    Full benefits package
