Our client for this position is a very well known luxury and consumer goods company with an office in Miami dedicated to Latin America, the Caribbean and some North American markets.

 

Job Description

 

Title: Distribution Center Operations Manager

 

Location: South Florida, USA

 

This opportunity is a key position in a “one of a kind”, very high tech and environment friendly Distribution Center (DC).

 

Objective: Guarantee that customer orders are properly fulfilled in terms of quantity, quality and time

 

Description:

 

Operations

·    Reach the Business objectives (Turnover)

·    Improve Service level and Leadtime to customers.

·    Implement and enforce operational procedures:

·      (a)    Define departments objectives, responsibilities, needs (training, equipment, etc…).

·      (b)   Develop new operational procedures to improve DC’s performance (service level, productivity, Safety, …)

·    Guarantee the stock control (track/control/justify stock discrepancies)

·    Organize and plan the maintenance of operational equipment (mobile, production)

·    Ensure respect of US Customs

·    Plan and control the Production & Flows resources (HR, Consumables, Equipment, etc…)

 

Reporting & Budgeting

·    Prepare and analyze monthly DC Operations Reporting

·    Follow-up on DC Operations Budgeting (consumable, temporary work force, Mobile equipment, …)

 

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Management enforcement

·    Implement and enforce the group’s safety and environment policy

·    Formalization of each employee’s mission in terms of EHS

·    Ensure each employee :

·      (a)    is fully aware of rules, procedures, instructions and enforced policies at the DC.

·      (b)   know their EHS respective duties: report/enforce instructions/ identify risks/etc…

·    Ensure the EHS control (audit, examens, inspections…)

Knowledge used in the function:

·    Inventory management methods

·    Transportation standards

·    Organization of flows

·    L’Oreal group standards and procedures

 

Requirements:

·    Scientific background preferred with Bachelor of Science minimum

·    5 years previous experience in a similar role

·    Organization skills

·    Ability to drive teams, ideas and projects

·    Good communicator (training / animation / written)

·    Bilingual : English, Spanish

 

Compensation Package:

·    Base salary $60k to $75k

·    Bonus

·    Profit Sharing
